Travels with Erika
Yes, Erika gets around. She
moves, she circulates, she doesn't just hang at the Queen Mary. For example, on the right, she is in West Hollywood on Hallowe'en, with friend Michelle as the cutest spider you have ever seen. Erika of course is in disguise as Tintin, the boy detective - go figure. She also moves about the country, as the pictures below will attest. |
November found
Erika in Chicago, visiting the world famous Baton Show Lounge, to catch the drag show there. The show was pretty good and the girls were spectacular |
Next month (that's December, for the calendarically challenged), it was
Boston, where Jacques' is the local girls bar. It is just like the Queen Mary, but a little smaller. The girls are pretty though. There I met Jon, who runs the U R NotAlone website which has contacts for humdreds and hundreds of girls. |
AsiaSF is a restaurant/club where the attraction is that the
waitresses are asian queens. Periodically, throughout the evening, they perform on the bar to the delight of the customers, including moi. Since I was in conservative non-Erika mode, they put me right where the girls shook their booties, thinking I would be embarassed - ah, if they had only known! |
Dragalicious is a
weekly feature in a Long Beach dance club called Fire Island. When Leslie (Goddess of Asia) and Erika went there, the crowd was small and the girls didn't seem to have their hearts in it. But maybe we just went on bad night. |
The Mayfair Hotel, site of the
original Club Girl Talk (or is it Gurl Talk?). This is a classy joint as you can see from the lobby picture to the right - no cut-offs and flip flops here |
The Palms, site of the Monday night
version of Club Girl Talk, is a lezzie bar usually, but Monday nights are slow, so other "gurls" are welcome. Nice place, but usually a little slow (it IS monday night, after all) |
El Calor (The Heat for all you
monoglots) is a Hispanic night club in Anaheim. Wednesday nights are drag nights. The place is like an old fashioned night club and the music is muy caliente (look it up) |
Erika met her chat friends Jenny, Casey and Leslie
there. Can you tell that Jenny and Leslie are twins? |
Just a few blocks from the glitz of Triangle Square, lies the
modest looking exterior of the Lion's Den. Nothing special you think? Just look inside. It's the home to some of the most alternative (but legal) fun you can have on this side of Orange County. This mid-size club hosts ultra-artsy house music nights, karaoke for a gay crowd and salsa nights complete with drag shows. If you're just looking for an average guy's night of pool, there are a couple of pool tables available. But it's impossible to be an average Joe here. What run-of-the-mill club hangs two mirrored disco balls from the ceiling? - From an Internet review. |
and (l-r), Leslie, Casey and Jenny were there
and here they are
again, and next time, Erika will be there too - promise
See Hoochie Night
(04/26/02)
for the gory details

Apart from being a pretty fine
hamburger joint, Hamburger Mary's hosts a drag night once a month - well it IS a gay hamburger joint - try that at Mickey D's and see where you get.
Upcoming will be Erika's review.
Don't miss it! |
