Erika's Annex Page 600 - Rain or Shine
|
|
|
|
Should moi venture out, moi mused. After all, the weather forecast predicted inclement weather.
OTOH, moi hadn't been to visit the new club called SHINE. Now let moi explain, the club's name is
spelled S-H-I-N-E, but it is pronounced O-X-W-O-O-D, as in Oxwood Inn, where it is located, so it
isn't really a new club, just the old club given a fancy schmancy new name, for the purpose of
attracting the tranny punters. Anyway, moi compromised somewhat by sending the ever faithful, and
rain-retardant, Tintin in moi's stead, for a brief but fruitful foray into the realm of nether Burbank on
this dark and stormy night. Now where has moi heard THAT phrase before? Oh yes, a minor variant
on the title of the previous page - well, moi can't be brilliant and original all the time, can moi?

Well, let moi summarize Tintin's reportage with a brief survey of the attendees.
The usual inside scoops and corroborative detail which give piquancy to an
otherwise bald and uninteresting narrative will be absent, but what the hey.

Followed by three more of moi's bestest friends (left to right) Mika, Sabrina and Nicole.

And a relatively new girl
Kristen, or Kristine or
Kirsten (or whatever - moi
is never good with names),
arrived with two friends in
tow - the realtively new AJ
and the extremely new
Carla, both of whom
professed shyness about
picture taking.

Aha! The game is afoot.
Release the hounds!

And so it was off to the outdoor patio, aka the Smokers' Lounge where, Tintin
reasoned, he would have them cornered. And so, to some extent, he did.

Admittedly not his best work, but he did manage to
capture all three (Carla, AJ and Kirsten) in one
photograph, and Jamie was a pleasant bonus in another.
Well, as Scarlett O'Hara so famously remarked,
"Tomorrow is another day".
