"WEDDING FROM HELL"Aired 3/16/07
|
The groom, Ross DeMichael, clad in feather boa and ascot, is not happy. In his thick Long Island
accent, with a touch of gay affect, he scolds Jane for waiting for the night before his wedding to tell him
they were over budget. Debbie tells Ross in no uncertain terms that she gave him the numbers. Ross
decides he'll solve the problem by making it a cash bar. His future father-in-law, as well as his bride-to-
be Bridget and the mother of the bride, are all horrified. Jane agrees that it would be inappropriate to
have a cash bar. Ross thinks it's inappropriate that the bride's father is refusing to kick in a dime.
Why? Because he doesn't want his only daughter marrying a gay man. Ross insists he's not gay and
doesn't understand why everyone thinks he is. Roy explains that a feather boa is a fashion statement, not
a declaration of sexual preference. Finally, Annie arrives and saves the day with a suggestion that they
serve up the half-empty bottles of wine from tonight's reception, a signature cocktail and some non-
alcoholic seltzer drinks. Yada, yada, yada........ Anyway, moi watched the show, hoping to chronicle the
seminal acting event of the 21st century.

What the heck! What is a scene if you

Vows are exchanged. In a characteristically self-effacing gesture, Lexi refuses to spoil the
magic moment by stealing the scene, or else she was boa challenged
