Erika's Annex Page 513 - Once in a Blue Moon
Why does moi have such a deliriously goofy grin on moi's
face? (Apart from the fact that moi USUALLY has a
deliriously goofy grin on moi's face, of course). Well, moi was
privileged to attend the inaugural event at a place that may
be the club that replaces The Lodge, moi's old stomping
ground. As you know, moi can stomp with the best of them,
too. Tonight's venue was a dance club called Blue Moon
Nights (see below), a hostelry not a hop, skip and a jump from
the now deceased Lodge. Moi knows that is was a h., s. and a
j. from said place, not because moi h'd, s'd and j'd from it to
the new place but because moi has a fine sense of distance.
Besides, it was raining, so moi didn't want to get wet.
If moi can fault the new venue, moi would have to give it a technical foul for overuse of the
smoke machine (see below), which made picture taking a challenge., but that is a small caveat
The magic of photoshopping revealed the well
stocked bar and the dance floor/performance space
Outside, in the smoking area, the atmosphere was paradoxically clearer and revealed a well
appointed space
with delightful. soothing Asian touches (left)
and commodious private booths for sitting
and chatting (above)
See how well the vibrant colour scheme complements moi's own coiffure, as
moi takes the opportunity to POSE?
But moi alluded several times (don't say moi didn't - moi knows when moi
is alluding, and there ain't nuttin' nobody can do about it) to the former
establishment that moi used to frequent , viz., The Lodge. So, it occurred
to moi on moi's way home to find out how the old joint was holding up.
