So, finally we get to
the entertainment
portion of tonight's
fundraising
extravaganza, and
what an event it was,
with everyone giving
of their all in the
cause of making Vi
an Empress. Karina,
herself a former
Empress, set the scene
and kicked off the
proceedings, which
were MC'd by Vi her
own self

|
|
Vi began the evening with a soulful ballad and was soon having cash money pressed upon her
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Asia, cute as a button in thigh high boots followed on with a live performance
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Celia took the stage with the first of her two steamy numbers. About this time, Tintin
thought it might be a good idea to remember what songs were being performed.

|
|
|
|
Next came Nikki, and for some reason, Tintin was too distracted to check
the song name - some kind of hip hop thingie he recalls
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Maya provided a pleasant interlude playing a flautal embellishment of Destiny's Child's
cover of the Bee Gee's original "Emotion" - Wheew! and all without taking a breath
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Soon Tuesday was raising the roof with "What Kind of Fool am I",
although this was clearly not self referential
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
And Malena covered Whitney Houston's "I will Always Love You"
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The performers assembled to accept applause and to assess how
successful their fundraising had been (see below)
