Erika's Annex page 307A - Vu Do Two

Moi again!!! Moi never tires of hearing THAT. Moi now presents the main meat of the evening. After all the introductions and set up, what exactly did we do to entertain ourselves? Hmmm. a good question and one that, fortunately, moi am able to answer by reference to moi's photographic record of the event.

Well, there was dancing

Sometimes, there was Dirty dancing

Sometimes, full body contact Dirty dancing

There was a birthday cake to deal with

There was primping and prepping (mirror essential)

And, God help us, there was karaoke. And you know how moi feels about karaoke? Well, moi has a confession to make. Moi succumbed to the dark side of the karaoke. AIEEEEE!!!

It started out innocently enough. "Just try a chorus or two" they said. "If you don't like it, you can stop ay time you want"

But you know, they say "Yesterday" is a portal tune; pretty soon, you're hooked on the entire Beatles songbook, and the next thing you know, you have a ten tune a day habit. It's too late for moi now, but you young kids - stay away from the karaoke machine, moi is begging you

Meanwhile, as this urban tragedy was unfolding, preparations were proceeding apace for the evening's main event - the Fashion Show

...with occasional interruptions from people who are best left BEHIND the camera

There is the makeup consultation

Choosing the couture for the evening

A final fitting

And finally, the supermodels strut the catwalk for all to see as they venture forth

Ummm. Did moi mention that it was a traditional Vietnamese fashion show?
